The Nodal Officer App, developed for the Android platform, serves as a valuable tool for nodal officers across various departments, including Fire, Revenue, Public Works Department (PWD), and the Police Department. This application streamlines the process of managing permission requests by allowing nodal officers to review, object to, or approve permissions with ease.

Upon receiving new permission requests, nodal officers can utilize the app to either raise objections or indicate no objections, providing comments and optional attachments as needed. The system enhances efficiency by automatically assigning tasks to nodal officers and sending push notifications at the time of application submission.

The app categorizes permissions into three distinct sections: New, Overdue, and Replied. The New section displays pending permissions that require action within 24 hours of their expiration, alongside permissions that have been accepted or rejected by the Returning Officer. The Overdue section lists permissions that have already expired and necessitate immediate attention. Once a nodal officer acts on these requests, they are forwarded to the Returning Officer for final approval or rejection, who can also attach relevant documents.

In instances where a nodal officer fails to respond to a particular permission request, the Returning Officer is granted the capability to take direct action. This feature ensures that the permission management process remains efficient and responsive.
